Cast on 20 stitches loosely with bulky yarn.

Row 1: Knit.

Row 2-4: With thin yarn, knit.

Row 5: Slide stitches to the other end of needle. Pick up bulky yarn (it should now be on the side you're ready to work on) and knit.

Repeat rows 2-5 until yarn is used up or until scarf is desired length.

End with row 5, bind of loosely.
